Avis has offset more than 167,810 tonnes of CO2 since 1997 – that is equivalent to 2,944,035,087 people making a one minute phone call. 

We take our environmental responsibilities seriously.

We are committed to measuring the impact that we have on the environment and are taking steps to improve the situation, with our focus on green house gas emissions from our fleet, offices and rental locations. It’s a big challenge, but we have achieved great things so far and will continue to try harder for the environment in all that we do.

In our offices we make sure everyone does their bit to help the environment. Some of our lights are on sensors, we recycle all paper, plastic and cans and we even get our staff involved in fund-raising for green charities.

Preventing Spills and Leaks

 We know it’s important to avoid fuel spills and leaks to the environment and that’s why we have brought in a number of measures to keep these to a minimum. These include training our staff on Spill Prevention Control measures, storing fuel correctly and installing detection systems so if there is a problem we are alerted to it straight away.

We are constantly looking for new ways to do our bit and working towards protecting the planet for future generations.
